Without a doubt, 2020 has had challenges no one expected. It was a hard year. We had shut downs. We had a pandemic. We had racism. We had hatred and division. We had an election. We had economic upheaval and hardship.
Because of all the hardship that 2020 brought, we are finding reasons to celebrate and be grateful at Millionaire Grant Lady. And here is a big reason: Our work secured $2.6 million in grants in November and December! This is one of the best months we have ever had. This funding includes:
$200,000 foundation grant for a children’s and family counseling program
$2.1 million state grant for healthcare for women
$370,000 state grant for healthcare for women
This funding brings our grand total in 2020 funding to over $11 million! Even with all the hardship, this year turned out to be the best year of funding for us yet. We are thrilled to help so many people improve their health, overcome trauma, gain economic stability, reunite their families, and improve social justice through our work. This is the reason we get out of bed in the morning.
Even though it has been a truly difficult year– worse than many other years in our lifetimes– I hope you can find a reason to celebrate as we wrap up 2020 and look forward to 2021.
